Buffalo Police are looking for whoever is responsible for throwing two kittens onto the Route 33 overpass late Monday night.

According to police, witnesses say a loud noise was heard in the area of Michigan Avenue and Goodell Street and then found a plastic tote containing the two kittens.

The animals were taken to a local cat rescue facility. A representative from the facility tells 7 Eyewitness News that the kittens were not injured and are being taken care of.

Police are asking anyone with information to call or text the confidential tipline at (716) 847-2255.
