Kitten hitches a ride in Genesee County deputy's patrol car

A Genesee County Sheriff's deputy picked up an unexpected "perp" Tuesday afternoon after responding to a call on West Main St. in Batavia.

This little kitten apparently crawled up underneath Deputy Chris Parker's patrol car while it was parked along West Main.

The deputy tried to lure the cat out with food and then even put the car up on a jack in an attempt to get to the cat. When those plans failed the car was driven, slowly and carefully, to the County Highway Department where the car was put up on a high lift.

This little guy was safely rescued and we was taken to the Genesee County Animal Shelter. After the kitten is cleared by veterinarians he will most likely be up for adoption.
