A Kenmore man now faces a lengthy prison term after admitting he sexually assaulted a woman.

Valvano Yazzie will spend the next six and a half years in prison, followed by 20 years post-release supervision.  The 39-year-old also pleaded guilty to a DWI charge.

According to the District Attorney's Office, the assault took place in August 2015 at a home in the City of Buffalo where Yazzie broke in looking for his wife. He then assaulted a woman inside while drunk. The woman was incapacitated and unable to consent at the time.

As a result of his drunk driving, Yazzie's license has been revoked. This is his second DWI conviction in Erie County and, according to out-of-state court records, his ninth DWI conviction overall.
