A 21-year-old man has been convicted of fatally shooting three people and wounding three others in Rochester last summer.

A jury found Johnny Blackshell Jr. guilty of three counts of first-degree murder and other felony charges on Thursday. He faces life in prison without parole for the murder convictions.

Blackshell was accused of killing 19-year-old Raekwon Manigault, 17-year-old Jonah Barley and 25-year-old Johnny Johnson by firing a rifle into a crowd that had gathered outside the Boys and Girls Club after a basketball game on Aug. 19.

Blackshell's attorney said during closing statements that his client didn't fire the gun but was with two other men in a vehicle from which the shots were fired.

Those two men, ages 18 and 20, will be tried separately.
