Judge issues "stay away" order to Cheektowaga Councilman

More trouble for a Cheektowaga Town Councilman who was arrested last month.

A domestic court judge issued a stay away order to Jim Rogowski Monday morning. The order bars Rogowski from contacting his wife and three daughters.

Rogowski was arrested last month in West Seneca following a domestic incident. He was charged with criminal contempt and menacing.

Rogowski still holds his post on the Cheektowaga Town Council despite calls from his fellow councilman, Brian Nowak, calling for his resignation.

Nowak penned a letter calling Rogowski's situation a distraction.

Rogowski has chosen not to speak about the arrest on camera, instead referring questions to his lawyer.
