There are new developments in a bizarre Genessee County murder case.
Kyle Johnson, 53, was in court on Monday where he pleaded not guilty to murder charges by reason of mental disease or defect.
Johnson is the man who investigators say shot and killed his neighbor in Leroy back in November. Johnson is then accused of setting his own home on fire and shooting at first responders.
A judge has ordered Johnson to now be examined by doctors at a secure mental health facility.
