Job Description : Facilitate placement of purchase orders in accordance with established policy. Develop strategies to assure continuous supply and timely procurement of materials.
Ensure timely placement of orders to meet production requirements. Study new products and research departments' requests for all products and commodities.
Partner with business units to ensure receipt of appropriate specification documentation enabling the sourcing in accordance with established policy. Perform duties in a manner that provides high quality customer service to business units. Monitor process through delivery to ensure satisfaction.
Initiate cost reductions through efficient and economic supplier base, negotiation, standardization of materials, and value analysis.
Maintain process and procedure documentation for purchasing. Make recommendations for process improvement. Analyze market conditions and keep current with trends in marketplace. Network with other procurement professionals to stay current with industry best practices.

Job Qualifications : Preferred Education / Experience:
Bachelors in related discipline
3+ years in related discipline or;
A combination of education and experience equivalent to above
Certification in purchasing, production control or supply chain management
Preferred Knowledge / Ability:
Working knowledge of ERP systems
High proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
Outstanding communication skills
Thrive in fast paced environment with ability to reprioritize as needed
Data collection & analysis techniques
Ability to apply generally accepted business principles
