Officials say a city parks Jeep broke through ice while plowing the Ives Pond skating area off of Delaware Street in the City of Tonawanda.
The parks employee who was driving the jeep, Fred Sparks, was not injured.
A tow truck hauled the jeep out of the pond.
The incident happened on Friday at 3:30 p.m.
