The Erie County Water Authority is now rated among the worst water providers in the country, according to JD Power & Associates.
A new study ranked the ECWA 80th out of 88 major water providers nationally based on customer satisfaction; in the Northeast, the ECWA came in 15th out of 18.
On average, the major water utility companies in the northeastern United States received a score of 709 out of a possible 1,000 points. The ECWA, however, only scored a 669. The City of Baltimore and Pittsburgh's water utilities ranked second-to-last and last, respectively.
Boston ranked the highest in customer satisfaction in the Northeast with a 735 score. The Gwinnett County Water Authority in Georgia had the highest rating in the country, coming in at 757 out of 1,000.
