Jamestown Police find weapon used in robbery was a replica

Jamestown Police responded to the area of 625 Prendergast Ave. Thursday night for a reported armed robbery.

Officers say a man was robbed of cash at gunpoint by the suspect.

The suspect then made their way to the lower apartment of 625 Prendergast. 

According to authorities, the suspect then left out the rear of the apartment and headed towards East 8th Street.

Jillian Matthews, 21 of Jamestown was arrested by police after a pursuit in the area of North Main Street and East 7th Street. 

After obtaining a search warrant, police found the weapon used in the robbery and determined it was a replica revolver.

Matthews is charged with Robbery and Criminal Possession of a weapon.
