A Jamestown man faces 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to a federal charge of distributing child pornography Thursday.
Christopher Whitford, 45, of Jamestown shared files with an undercover officer in May 2016. One month later, a search warrant executed at his residence found 2,405 images and 1,188 videos constituting child pornography.
Whitford is scheduled to be sentenced on June 13. The charge carries a mandatory minimum penalty of five years in prison, a maximum of 20 years, and a $250,000 fine.
