On Friday, Erie County Clerk Chris Jacobs released a You-Tube video presenting what he calls his "vision statement" as to why he's running for New York's 60th State Senate District and what he'll do if elected.  Watch the video here.

Jacobs, a Republican, officially announced his candidacy last week.

Democrat Amber Small, who is currently the Executive Director of Buffalo's Parkside Community Association announced her plan to run in mid-February.

State Assemblyman Sean Ryan is also said to be contemplating a run, although no firm decision has been made by his camp.

Earlier this month, Senator Marc Panepinto announced he would not seek re-election.

The 60th District includes parts of Buffalo, the City and Town of Tonawanda, as well as Grand Island, Hamburg, Orchard Park, Evans and Brant.
