The Jacobs Institute on Buffalo's new medical campus has opened a new collaborative space, hoping to draw technology innovators to Western New York.
The Idea to Reality, or i2R, space is focused on developing endovascular medical devices at a faster pace and in a more cost-effective way.
i2R's location creates a unique opportunity for companies to have all the resources they need in one space, with engineers and clinical trial opportunities available on the medical campus.
The goal of this collaborative effort is to draw new companies to Western New York and subsequently keep them in the area.
