Hertel Avenue was transformed into a mini Italy this weekend.
With entertainment and street vendors Buffalo's annual Italian Heritage Festival was once again a hit.
Entertainment throughout the weekend included the Buffalo Jazz and Swing band on Thursday, the Formula Band on Friday, Italians Got Talent on Saturday and a local celebrity cheese-building contest on Sunday, which benefited the winner's charity of choice.
Hertel Avenue between Delaware Ave. and Colvin Blvd. was closed for the festival.
