The festivities are underway for the first ever Galbani Italian Heritage Festival at Buffalo's Outer Harbor. Thanks to some wild weather, it started 6 hours late. The flooding rain didn't damper spirits, but most say they need to adjust to the new location.
“It's kind of spread out, I'm just to use to the one road. Let's hope it goes over good,” said Grace Giancarlo. She attends the festival every year, no matter the location.
The reason for the move from Hertel Avenue in North Buffalo is simple, more room.
“We just felt time it was time for us to reinvent the Italian Festival and move to the Outer Harbor and make more space for entertainment,” said Marco Sciortino, the spokesperson for the festival.
