It was a brutally cold day to work outside!

NIAGARA FRONTIER, N.Y. (WKBW) - With schools closed and some activities canceled, many people had the opportunity to stay inside while temperatures and wind chills outside dropped into the sub-zero range.

However, it was still a work day for many including the United States Postal Service, workers for Verizon and homeowners who need to shovel out.

7 Eyewitness News Reporter Ed Reilly spent the day outside talking with people about the challenges of working on a day with dangerously low temperatures.
