Congratulations to UB's class of 2021, you're now in the record-books.

Freshman enrollment at the University at Buffalo topped 4,000 for the first time in the school's history.

The exact number, 4,045.

This is the largest freshman class in the State University of New York (SUNY) system, according to the university.

School leaders say applications and enrollment have continued to rise since 2011.

The school credits its new recruitment and admissions process for the surge.

School leaders say within the past few years, UB has strengthened its admissions process by taking a more holistic review that considers more than test scores when it comes admissions.
