On Monday there was a wind advisory for parts of Erie County. The winds that reached up to 50 mph also brought in more cold weather.
After a particularly warm beginning to fall the cold weather was refreshing for some Western New Yorkers.
"It's (fall) is the definition of Buffalo especially when there's five feet of snow on the ground so it's nice that we will have a couple of months to enjoy before that" Sumit Mahan, a Williamsville native said.
The cold weather is expected to remain, so it will be sweaters and hot chocolate for the rest of the year.
