A Buffalo bride is hoping to spur adoptions for rescue pups in an innovative way. During her August 11 wedding, Katie Gartler had her bridesmaids hold puppies instead of flowers walking up to the ceremony.
"We're just hoping that our guests or whoever sees this will open their hearts and consider adopting, donating or volunteering in any capacity to help out a local rescue," Gartler said.
Gartler, a passionate animal lover, is a supporter of the Buffalo rescue organization Educate-a-Bull, which focuses on 'bully breeds.'
