One of the two convicted murderers who escaped a New York prison in 2015 and was caught weeks later is being transferred to a new facility.
Inmate David Sweat is one of the latest transfers as he is moved from Five Points Correctional Facility in Seneca County to Attica Correctional Facility in Wyoming County.
According to the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision, the move is based on biannual reviews, which include looking at concerns like an inmate's behavior, allegiances with other inmates that could become disruptive or over-familiarity with a facility.
The DOCCS says there are about 5,000 inmate transfers from one prison to another every month.
David Sweat and Richard Matt escaped the Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora, New York in June, 2015.
Sweat was taken into custody more than three weeks after the prison break. Matt was shot and killed during the manhunt by law enforcement officers.
