Twenty students from Western New York took part in the 89th annual Buffalo News Spelling Bee Sunday at the Buffalo History Museum.
Santino Panzica an 8th grader from Immaculate Conception in West Falls took home top honors. He will represent Western New York in the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C. in May.
Scripps is the parent company of 7 Eyewitness News.
