Grand Island Fire Company responded to a six-car collision on southbound I-190 at 7:36 A.M., Friday morning.
Officials say slippery road conditions during rush hour traffic contributed to the crash.
Fire Captain, Tim Krecisz said a Niagara Falls man was evaluated by medics for traumatic injury. He then was transported to Kenmore Mercy for precautionary follow-up.
Eight other people were evaluated but declined hospitalization, claiming minor or no injuries, according to authorities.
Normal traffic patterns have been restored.
