There is a new way to have food from your favorite Buffalo restaurants delivered to your doorstep. UberEats, an app-based food delivery platform, has launched service in Western New York.
The standalone app offers food delivery with full menus from over 60 of Buffalo's favorite restaurants including Anchor Bar, Mighty Taco, Jim's Steakout, Osteria 166, Tappo, Deep South Taco, Hydraulic Hearth and many more. The company says delivery will be available seven days a week at "Uber speed".
UberEats uses Uber drivers from the popular ride-sharing company to pick up and deliver food from participating restaurants. The company says the app "makes getting great food as easy as getting a ride". Current Uber drivers in WNY have been contacted with an opportunity to be a part of UberEats.
Here's how UberEats works:
- Download the standalone UberEats app
- Login with your Uber account
- Find a restaurant and pick what you want from their menu
- Pay with your card on file
- Watch as the order is picked up and delivered to you.
UberEats will be releasing more details later in the day on Tuesday. 7 EWN will have more information as soon as it becomes available.
