As you can imagine, it is rare for a company of Starbucks size to shutdown business for training. However, many companies across western New York already offer some sort of biased training either once an employee is hired, or during a lunch hour.

Liz Warren is the Human Resources Vice President for Employee Services Corporation. The Amherst based company offers sensitivity training among other services to small and medium size businesses. She said more and more companies are offering the training given today's climate. “We've seen police shootings and things such as that. Warren said hundreds of local companies offer some sort of sensitivity training.
