The Ride for Roswell is back for a 21st year and organizers believe the charity event will be bigger and better than ever. More than 600 supporters attended the kickoff event at Riverworks in Buffalo on Wednesday.

Ride for Roswell founder Mitch Flynn tells 7EWN that the goal for 2016 is to raise $5 million. More than 8,000 riders are expected for the event which is scheduled for June 24th and June 25th.

The Ride for Roswell invites supporters to ride their bicycles through one of a dozen routes ranging in distance from 3 miles to 100.

Funds raised through the Ride for Roswell support cutting-edge research and patient care programs that benefit the 31,000 patients who turn to Roswell Park Cancer Institute for treatment.
