The man Buffalo Police are calling a hero has been honored by Erie County lawmakers.
7 Eyewitness News first brought you this story on Monday. Police say Rent-A-Center employee, Taijuan Littleton, saved a 4-year-old boy who had been living with his dead mother for days inside an apartment on Delavan Avenue.
The mother had died of natural causes.
On Thursday, the Erie County Legislature thanked Littleon for his actions.
The community has since shown its support for the boy by donating gifts by the dozens.
