The Lakeshore Eagles were defending their home turf, Thursday night. Off the field, their coach, Drew Takacs, was facing some serious allegations.

“He came running full blast into my back. I flew about 5 yards. I got up and my back is sore and I have to go the chiropractor because of it,” said Branden Hutchinson, a junior on the team.

Hutchinson says the hit happened in practice around his teammates earlier this month. He and his father, Craig, want to see the Lakeshore School District take action.

“I have initiated contact with the police department,” said Craig Hutchinson.

The Hutchinson's believe the reported hit was done for a reason. Earlier this month, Craig sent an email to the district questioning the coach's play-calling. Days later, Branden says he was hit.

“It's disgusting. I don't know how an adult could do this to a child,” said Craig Hutchinson.

The school district released this statement:

"Superintendent Przepasniak is in communication with a number of people concerning the varsity football program. This is a personnel matter and the district cannot comment any further."

Coach Takacs, who was advised not to speak on the issue, and will continue to coach as the district investigates.
