The Amherst Police Department and the Erie County Department of Health are teaming up to help you get rid of unwanted drugs and needles the safe way.

A new, secure drop-off kiosk for both drugs and "sharps" (needles, lancets, syringes) is now available at the Amherst Police Department, located on 500 John James Audubon Parkway.

The kiosk will be available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.  According to the Health Department, prescriptions and over the counter drugs, pills and other solids, like patches, as well as liquids, are accepted for environmentally safe disposal.
