Orchard Park Police say a man reported his car was stolen by a house guest Saturday night.
According to police, the victim said his car had been stolen within the 40 min before the report and he knew who had taken it. He also said his wallet was in the car.
The victim told police Johniemae Walker, 26, took the car.
All police agencies in Erie County were told to be on the lookout for the car at 11:37 p.m.
Officers say Niagara Frontier Transit Authority Police saw the car at 11:43 p.m. and ensued in a short chase.
Police say the car crashed and Walker was taken into custody by NFTA police.
Walker faces a criminal possession of stolen property charge and vehicle and traffic charges from the NFTA police. Police say she also has outstanding warrants from Buffalo City Court and Amherst Town court.
Additional charges from Orchard Park police include two counts of grand larceny, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and petit larceny.
