A former house cleaner was arrested after stealing over $5000 from the person whose home she was cleaning.
State Police in Batavia say Sheri Eddy, 33, was arrested for third degree grand larceny and first degree identity theft after a resident complained of missing funds.
Police say Eddy stole a check from the residence while employed cleaning the complainant's home. Eddy used the information on the check to steal over $5000.
Eddy is being held at the Genesee County Jail on $2500 bail.
