The Niagara County Fair started Wednesday August 1st, and has added many entertaining attractions to the fair grounds.

A new animal exhibit called Down Under Animal Encounters will allow people to play, pet, and take pictures with kangaroos from the Spirit Wind Farm in Sanborn, New York. The Australian marsupials are very friendly and energetic. The encounter also has patagonian cavies (which look like a mix between a dog and a rabbit), exotic birds, and tortoises. The cost is $10 a person or $35 for a family of four.

A magic show has also appeared at the fair this year. Scott's World of Magic Show is filled with illusions that create a must see to believe show. Scott and his wife Ana perform three shows Wednesday- Saturday and will not be there Sunday. The magic show originates in Orlando, Florida and travels all across the world.

For the people looking for some dare devil entertainment, there will also be a BMX Pros Stunt Show. The world's most extreme bicyclists will perform action packed stunts for the crowd.

Tractor games are also new to the fair this year. Six antique tractors will test their skills in friendly games. One competition consists of tractor drivers trying to skillfully back up their tractor hitch as close to an egg as possible without breaking the eggs.

The Niagara County Fair runs from August 1st-5th in Lockport, NY. Admission is $5 Wednesday-Saturday, $3 on Sunday, or $10 a carload, and children under six are free. The fair is open from 11am-10pm on Thursday, 11am-11pm on Friday and Saturday, and Sunday from 10am-6pm.
