Another package was stolen from a porch and it was caught on camera. But this time, the star of the video is not the perpetrator - it's what's the inside the package.
A young man sprints to the porch, lunges for the box, and swiftly escapes. It all went down on Thursday at about 1:30 p.m. at a home in Las Vegas.
"I was kind of excited and I just kept replaying it," said homeowner Eric Burdo. "I just kind of wanted to give them back something."
"One day I kind of just thought about cleaning up the poop and putting it in a box and that's what I did."
Fed up with the all the recent reports of local package theft, Burdo felt this was the perfect way to tell thieve to stay away.
"Hopefully they don't do it again and they learn their lesson," he said.
Not only was Burdo trying to teach the thieves a lesson, he also wanted to make sure his new surveillance cameras were in good spots. The front door camera only captured one of the offenders. The camera on the garage reveals his accomplice.
"Somebody had broken into the car when we first moved here,” said Burdo. “That's the main reason why I got the cameras."
Burdo put the package on his porch last Sunday. It wasn't taken until Thursday. He says pranking a thief is the perfect way to show who's really boss.
