A Cheektowaga woman admits she stole a small fortune from an elderly woman in her care.
Mary Talbot, 54, pleaded guilty Thursday in Erie County Court to charges of forgery and grand larceny.
Talbot stole $41,590 from an 82 year-old woman while working as the victim's home health care aide.
Prosecutors say Talbot forged checks, made them payable to herself and then cashed them.
She faces up to seven years in prison when she is sentenced in June.
