ELLICOTTVILLE, N.Y. (WKBW) - You had to know this was coming.
As the temperatures finally start to drop below the freezing mark, Holiday Valley is getting ready to shift into snow making mode.
The Ellicottville ski resort hopes to start making snow on November 15th, said spokesperson Jane Eshbaugh.
The ground needs to be a bit drier and colder than it is now for the snow to stick. Holiday Valley is hoping this upcoming weekend's cold snap will help, Eshbaugh said.
Friday's high is only expected to reach the high 20s, with overnight temperatures Friday into Saturday dipping into the high teens.
Holiday Valley held a preview weekend November 26th and 27th last year before opening for the season December 10th.
