Over the next few weeks, the United States Postal Office will handle 16 billion letters, cards, and packages. According to the USPS, 900 million pieces will be packages.
Here are some key shipping dates for you to remember:
December 15: Priority Mail Express International
December 14: Ground
December 20: First-Class Mail
December 20: Priority Mail
December 22: Priority Mail Express
If you go to the USPS website right now you'll find ALL the deadlines including ones for those of you sending a special care package for a member of the military.
You can also find the hours for you local Post office.
Here's a quick glance at two offices with extended hours:
Cayuga Branch, 285 Cayuga Rd, Cheektowaga (regular hours)
- Monday through Friday – 12:30 to 8 p.m.; Saturday & Sunday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Cheektowaga Branch, 125 Galleria Dr, Cheektowaga
- On Sunday Dec. 9, 16, & 23 – 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
