Hiring 716: Get a job and register to vote at local barbershop

The best day of the week to apply for a job is on a Monday, a study by Bright.com finds. The study finds  people are the most likely to advance to the next step in the hiring process.  

Heaven Sent Barbershop, on Kensington Ave in Buffalo, is hosting a mini job fair for the community today. The event is from 12-2:30 pm and will provide information about job openings, training programs, and people will have the opportunity to register to vote.

A $5 off haircut coupon will be given to people that register to vote or show proof they are a registered voter. 

There are six companies participating in this event: First Student, The Northland Workforce Training Center, The Buffalo Employment Training Center, The NY Department of Labor, PUSH Buffalo, and Health Sciences Charter School.
