More than 700 local high school students went to war Wednesday - a high-tech war that's educational and fun at the same time.
The 20th annual "Tech-War" competition held at Niagara County Community college, a chance for kids to build their own robots and see who can be most creative. One of the big reasons for this event is the current shortage of high-tech people in Western New York right now.
Organizers hope all of this will encourage students to further their technical education and maybe enter the technology fields when they begin their adult careers.
