With just a few weeks left of summer, we've found a way to enjoy it while sneaking in some back to school preparation for your students!

The Herschell Carrousel Museum in North Tonawanda is hosting a 'Back to STEM' week, highlighting elements of the museum's field trip curriculum.

The week runs August 21st to August 25th. It features activities focusing on science, technology, engineering and math.

  • Monday the 21st: Learn about electricity with squishy circuits
  • Tuesday: Build a marble run roller coaster
  • Wednesday: Free admission, not part of STEM week
  • Thursday: DIY lava lamp
  • Friday: Build a cardboard carousel animal

Teachers with ID will receive free admission to 'Back to STEM' week. Admission for adults is $7 and $3.50 for kids ages 2-16. The Museum is open from 10 a.m to 4 p.m, located at 180 Thompson Street in North Tonawanda.
