Resources and Help Against Martial Abuses (RAHAMA) hosted a fundraiser Saturday in Buffalo to make it easier for Muslim women to get help escaping domestic violence.
RAHAMA is working to build a faith based shelter so that Muslim women will feel comfortable seeking help.
The shelter would cater to their religious and cultural needs, providing resources including Halal food and a place to pray.
