Hamburg police say a 39-year-old man was hit a by a train and died on the CSX rail line.
Police identify the man as a Hamburg resident. His name is not being released until his family is notified.
The man, according to police, was hit around 10:20 p.m. Wednesday near the rail overpass on Camp Road.
When police got there, an officer tried giving the man CPR. He was found in rail road right of way. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
CSX tracks in this area were closed until about 1:20 a.m. Thursday, as police conducted their investigation.
It's unclear what the man was doing on the tracks.
