Police arrested a 19-year-old Hamburg man Wednesday for sending explicit pictures to minors.
The arrest of Michael C. McFarland followed a joint investigation by the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Department.
According to troopers, that investigation revealed that McFarland had sent sexually explicit pictures and messages to two minors, ages 12 and 14.
McFarland was charged with two counts of disseminating indecent material to a minor and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
McFarland has been arraigned at the Town of Yorkshire Court. He is scheduled to re-appear at a later date.
