A Hamburg man was traveling on Union Road in the Town of West Seneca when prosecutors say he drove into oncoming traffic and caused a fatal crash.
Thirty-year-old Shane Heisler has since been arraigned for the fatal crash on July 1st. He's charged with vehicular manslaughter in the second degree, a felony charge.
Investigators say Heisler crashed into a car that was carrying three people: 65-year-old Ronald Heiss, the driver, as well as his wife Diane Heiss and 71-year-old Barbara Guenther, a rear seat passenger. Responders say Guenther died of her injuries from the crash.
Heiss and his wife say they were on their way to a wedding when the crash happened.
Heisler pleaded not guilty, and is due in court again on September 2nd for a felony hearing.
