The Hamburg Community Playground Project is competing for $25,000 to put towards a major makeover.

The Kiwanis Club of Hamburg entered the Project into the Kiwanis Legacy of Play contest.  The club submitted its plans to revive its distinctive wooden playground, and is competing against other playground proposals.

As of May 23, the project is one of the top finalists.  The top ten proposals with the highest votes on Facebook will move on to become finalists.  A panel of judges will pick the winning submission.

The Hamburg Community Playground sits between Prospect Avenue and Highland Avenue in the Village of Hamburg.  The current wooden playground has been an integral part of the Hamburg community for almost 25 years and has outlived its expectancy.

May 27th is the final day for Facebook voting. The direct link to the Hamburg Community Playground contest voting page is here.
