Habitat for humanity kicks off women build week
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) - Women Build Week kicked off in Buffalo on Tuesday, with two groups of women, helping build homes.
According to Habitat for Humanity, the majority of Buffalo families living in poverty are led by women and head of the household.
The organization say its building these new homes to give moms safe places to raise their children.
Women Build Week is aimed at highlighting challenges women sometimes face as homeowners.
More than 300 Habitat organizations from across the country are taking part in this initiative.
