City of Tonawanda police responded to a crash that occurred at 7:30 a.m. Saturday morning.
Leah Sidote, 21, of Tonawanda faces DWI charges after striking guardrails on the Young Street off ramp on Twin City Highway in the city.
Police say Sidote was exiting the highway on to the ramp too fast and bounced off guard rails on either side before the vehicle stopped. As a result, the vehicle became impaled into the guard rail.
She's charged with aggravated DWI, imprudent speed and possession of marijuana. Authorities said Sidote was uninjured and her BAC was over twice the legal limit.
