A new pedestrian crossing signal is up and running along Kenmore Avenue.
The Hawk Signal bridges the Town of Tonawanda and the city of Buffalo along the rails-to-trails bike path.
A similar crossing has been in place on Sheridan Drive for several months.
This is the first one to appear in Buffalo.
The signal is designed to improve the safety for bicyclists and pedestrians using the new trail.
The installation of the Hawk light signals the end of a $8.9 million dollars reconstruction project along Kenmore Avenue.
