Governor Cuomo traveling to Puerto Rico to assist in hurricane relief

Governor Cuomo is heading to Puerto Rico on Friday after Governor Rossello's governor to governor request. 

Cuomo and other officials plan to assist in relief efforts following Hurricane Maria. 

His office reports, a number of resources are being made available for victims including more than 34,000 bottles of water and 3,000 canned goods. 

The governor's office also announced the New York State Power Authority will also be present. 

A team of 10 personnel including translators, supervisors, and engineers. 

Drones and drone pilots from the DEC will also be sent to assist with the assessment and reconstruction of Puerto Rico's power grid.
