Governor Andrew Cuomo has ordered an investigation following bomb threats against Jewish Community Centers across the state.

The latest round of bomb threats within New York have targeted the JCCs in Tarrytown, Staten Island, New Rochelle and Plainview.

Governor Cuomo called these cowardly attacks an assault on all New Yorkers, not just the Jewish community. He has vowed to catch those responsible for the hate crimes.

The governor has ordered State Police to work with federal and local law enforcement to investigate the threats and arrest those responsible. A $25 million grant program was announced last week to boost safety and security at schools and day care centers at risk of hate crimes within the state.

"I share the pain and the outrage of so many New Yorkers who are affected directly and those who are sickened by watching these attacks unfold," said Governor Cuomo. "We will not allow anyone to intimidate or strike fear in the state of New York. The full force of government will be brought to bear in these efforts and these perpetrators will be punished."
