Everybody has a story to tell, and here's your chance to share it with the world.
Starting Thursday, NPR's StoryCorps Mobile Unit will be parking at Canalside in Buffalo. Crews will be welcoming people throughout the month of September, encouraging them to share their stories.
It's all part of a cross-country oral history project aimed at capturing the essence of everyday Americans through NPR which began in 2003.
After reserving a spot online at storycorps.org, pairs of participants board the RV and a facilitator answers any questions, checks the audio levels, and from there they begin a 40 minute conversation.
Afterward the story tellers leave with a DVD of their conversation and a second copy is archived at the library of congress.
