Governor Andrew Cuomo made a stop in Buffalo to announce that General Motors is making a multi-million dollar investment in several Western New York plants.
Of the $300 million investment, the Tonawanda Powertrain plant will receive nearly $260 million and the plant in Lockport is set to receive a little over $30 million.
In front of a crowd of plant workers, the Governor said that GM could go anywhere but chose Buffalo because the believe in Buffalo.
The investment will support 67 new jobs in Tonawanda and retain nearly 1,200 positions at three Western New York plants.
